Well this got passed around the office like a bad case of herpes. NY Post is reporting that:

Three people bought peppers at a Queens store last night and found them even hotter than they expected - all of them had bags of cocaine inside, police sources said.

The peppers were sold at a store on Liberty Avenue in Ozone Park to three separate purchasers, none of whom apparently had any idea of what they were buying.

Store owners told authorities that the peppers had been imported from South America. Police notified the health department and cops were searching the store with K-9 units.

It is the future of television. I think about it more than hard drugs. Imagine Youtube without a holes aiming a camera at the tv and posting some lame, background noise filled video. There are no homemade"Superman 'dat ho" videos either. Otherwise it's exactly the same.....almost. Al Gore did not invent the internet but he did invent Current. True story.

Direct TV channel 358 and on all other cable systems, you need to visit the site and figure out channel delegations. Please, check it out. Every pod (episode) is less than 5 minutes long and perfect for those of us who have the attention span of a goldfish. Basically if you watched Sesame Street as a child, you need to be hooked on Current as an adult. The website is super robust and anything you saw on the site is available immediately online.

You will love it, you will alter your tv habits and if you're unemployed it will make you late for everything. That is all, good day.

One I really liked was from Andrew Noz who writes the insanely great named and really good rap blog Cocaine Blunts.

He did a Top Ten Mixtapes of 2008 for NPR. What's great is that most of these mixtapes are free to download so get em. Kudos for NPR to for going with a blog that most would overlook.

Anyway, I want in on the act. So my favorite new artist of 2008, no shocker. Asher Roth. Tip and thanks to Vanilla Gorilla. Downloaded the mixtape, loved it. Saw him live at SOBS, loved it. Style, vocab, stage presence, voice, and shit had DJ Drama and Cannon do his mixtape. The Weezer sample in the song College. I mean, COME ON!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, I am sure this is no surprise to you. When last we spoke we mentioned how Tim Robbins had thrown a hissy fit at the voting polls last Tuesday, finally going to court to get this issue settled.

Well it turns out that Captain America went to the wrong polling place, which he would have known if he had voted for anything in the past 4 years. Whoops!

From the NY Daily News article:

Records showed Robbins moved in 2004 and filed a new registration. His proper polling site was in the Andrew Heskell Library on W. 20th St., where Robbins’ name was in the poll book.

“It would appear,” Robbins was informed in a letter from [the] Manhattan election commissioner, “that your voting experience was less than positive because you simply went to the wrong poll site.” The letter noted that Robbins might not have made his mistake had he voted “in any recent election.

Well I have. It took me about 10 minutes, including travel time! That's definitely not the same story for most people. Even at my own polling station, there was a line for the 84th District that wrapped to the outside of the building. I felt bad for those people as I was buying some bake sale goods on my way out. NOT!

While my vote may lead to Barack Obama's presidental win, I will also be able to reap the benefits of being a registered voter in what might be the single most important presidential election in our history. Starbucks is offering free coffee, Krispy Kreme is giving out donuts, Ben & Jerry's wants you to eat their ice cream (for free), and my personal favorite- Babeland in Brooklyn in giving out free dildos... Hmmm which of these am I going to obtain first...

And on that note- go out and vote right now if you haven't. Get that free vibrator and orgasm your way to change or, god forbids, out of depression.

If it's any consolation, my mom called the race as a win for Obama last night, and she's a McCain supporter.
